2. REGISTRATION & ACCOUNT SECURITY

To purchase from The Karoo Deli, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details and password. You agree to provide accurate and current information at all times.

3. PRODUCT PRICING & AVAILABILITY

• Pricing: All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT (where applicable), but exclude delivery charges.

• Weight-Based Items: Many of our deli products (e.g., meat cuts, biltong) are natural products. While we strive for precision, the final weight may vary slightly from the weight displayed. We will always aim to provide a value equal to or greater than the price paid.

• Stock: All products are subject to availability. If an item is out of stock after you have placed an order, we will notify you and offer a choice between a refund, a credit, or a comparable substitute.

4. COLD CHAIN & DELIVERY POLICY

This section is critical for the safety and quality of our Karoo produce:

• The Handover: Responsibility for the goods transfers to you upon delivery to the address provided.

• Immediate Storage: Because we sell perishable goods (meat, dairy, etc.), it is your responsibility to ensure someone is available to receive the delivery and immediately refrigerate or freeze the items.

• Failure to Collect: The Karoo Deli cannot be held liable for spoiled goods if the courier was unable to deliver because no one was home, or if the goods were left unattended at your request.

• Delivery Areas: We only deliver to specific regions within South Africa where our cold-chain couriers operate. Check our [Delivery Page] for your zone.

5. PAYMENT METHODS

We accept payment via [Visa, Mastercard, Instant EFT via PayFast/Peach Payments]. Orders will only be processed once we receive “Confirmed Funds” from our payment gateway or bank.

6. CANCELLATIONS & RETURNS

• Non-Perishables: In terms of the ECTA, you have a 7-day “cooling-off” period for non-perishable items. You will be responsible for the return shipping costs.

• Perishables: For health and safety reasons, we do not accept returns on perishable items (meat, fresh produce) unless they are defective or spoiled upon delivery.

• Reporting Defects: Any issues with the quality of perishables must be reported to us within 24 hours of delivery with photographic evidence.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on this Site, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of The Karoo Deli or its content suppliers and is protected by South African and international copyright laws.

8. PROHIBITED CONDUCT

You agree not to use the Site for any unlawful purpose, to transmit viruses, or to attempt to gain unauthorized access to our server or database.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the extent permitted by South African law, The Karoo Deli shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss arising from:
